Naathan Phan is not a magician. Naathan Phan is a theatre nerd with illusions of grandeur. Naathan Phan is a “polymath”: a person of wide-ranging knowledge and expertise. His diverse areas of prowess include acting, singing, vocal mimicry, writing, comedy, improvisation, music, storytelling, cocktail mixology, sartorial elegance, and all-around entertainment. He just happens to have been featured on shows such as Superbad, Tosh.0, Celebrity Name Game, Masters of Illusions, Penn & Teller: Fool Us, The Hollywood Christmas Parade, Wizard Wars, Don’t Blink, Junk Drawer Magical Adventures, America’s Got Talent, and more… Okay, so maybe he is a magician, but he’s a magician who wears many hats. He is a magician that Neil Patrick Harris has described as “hilarious… exclamation point,” Penn Jillette has said is “really f***ing good,” and Broadway World has proclaimed as having “Robin Williams paced wit.” Oh, and let’s add “modesty” to this polymath’s lengthy list of special skills while we’re at it!
